Robyn J. Askew is a firm shareholder in Knoxville whose law practice is concentrated in commercial real estate development. She has worked as a real estate developer and has extensive experience with national retailers, construction finance and business transactions. She has served on the Tennessee Housing Development Agency and as Chair of the Board of the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce.

 

Stephen C. Barton is a firm shareholder and chairs the firm’s Memphis Construction Practice Group. His construction industry practice includes the defense of design professionals and the representation of owners and contractors in a wide range of construction industry disputes.

 

Kevin Baskette, a shareholder in Lewis Thomason’s Memphis office, has significant trial experience representing his clients in Mississippi and Tennessee in construction and professional liability matters.

 

David A. Draper is a Lewis Thomason Knoxville-based shareholder whose practice is concentrated in construction litigation, professional liability defense, and the resolution of commercial and insurance coverage disputes. His construction clients include owners, designers, industrial, commercial, utility and residential general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. He has practical experience as a project subcontractor.

 

Jared S. Garceau is an associate at Lewis Thomason’s Knoxville office who practices primarily in the areas of business and commercial law, construction and general civil litigation.

 

David N. Garst is a Nashville-based firm shareholder who chairs the firm’s Construction Practice Group. He is a graduate architect with practice experience and has represented general and specialty contractors, design professionals, surveyors, suppliers and building owners in a variety of construction project scenarios, locally and regionally.

 

Kati S. Goodner is a Lewis Thomason Knoxville associate who practices primarily in the areas of commercial and complex litigation with significant experience in numerous multi-district litigation cases.

 

Preston A. Hawkins is a Lewis Thomason Knoxville shareholder. His practice is concentrated in construction litigation, general commercial and tort litigation and appellate advocacy.

 

John Craig Howell is a Lewis Thomason Nashville associate whose practice involves primarily construction law, professional liability and business and corporate litigation and employment law.

 

J. Wallace Irvin is special counsel in Lewis Thomason’s Nashville Office focusing his practice on the representation of contractors and design professionals in a wide variety of construction disputes. Mr. Irvin represents design professionals in contracting negotiation and enforcement and against allegations of professional negligence. His representation of contractors includes contract negotiations, construction defect defense, enforcement of lien and bond claims, and defense of licensing and OSHA citations. Mr. Irvin has a degree in civil engineering.

 

Jason M. Pannu is a Lewis Thomason Nashville shareholder. His practice is concentrated in complex business and commercial litigation with an emphasis on service to the construction industry. He has significant litigation experience in claims arising from construction projects. He is president-elect of the Tennessee Bar Association.

 

R. Loy Waldrop, Jr. is a firm shareholder who chairs the Knoxville Construction Practice Group. He has a mechanical engineering degree and engineering practice experience. He has over 30 years of experience serving the construction industry representing contractors, designers and owners in a wide range of construction disputes and in the negotiation and drafting of contracts. Mr. Waldrop served on the Tennessee Bar Association committee that drafted the 2007 mechanics’ lien statutes.

 

W. Paul Whitt is a firm Knoxville-based shareholder whose practice is concentrated in construction law and litigation, including the professional liability defense of design professionals. He has significant experience defending design professionals in complex, high damage claim cases.
